1. Who we are

Chorus Guide LLC (“Chorus,” “we,” “us”) operates Chorus, a service that shows how large language models (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and similar) describe a business, tracks how those descriptions change over time, and can email you summaries and alerts.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your email address, a hashed password, and your display name.
  • Subscription and preference data. The businesses you subscribe to, your email cadence and alert preferences, and your unsubscribe/opt-out choices.
  • Billing information. For paid plans, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — only limited billing metadata (plan, status, last four digits, billing email).
  • Usage and device data. With your consent, basic analytics (pages viewed, general device/browser info) via Google Analytics. Analytics do not load until you accept cookies.
  • Content you request. The business names, websites, and queries you enter, and the model responses and website details we retrieve about those businesses.

3. How we use information

To provide the service and store the time-series of how models describe a business; to send the emails you ask for (initial summary, periodic heartbeat digest, and — for paid plans — daily alerts about potentially incorrect information); to operate accounts (authentication, email verification, password reset); to process payments; to measure and improve the service (analytics, with consent); and to comply with law and enforce our Terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run Chorus, under contract and as needed:

  • AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity) — to generate the responses shown. We send the business/query, not your identity.
  • Email delivery (Resend), hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), payments (Stripe), and analytics (Google Analytics, only with your consent).

We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect our rights, or in a merger or acquisition.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie choice and your session. Analytics cookies load only after you accept via our cookie banner. You can decline, and you can clear the cookie to be asked again.

6. Email preferences and unsubscribe

Every non-transactional email includes an unsubscribe link to manage your preferences or unsubscribe from all summaries and alerts. Registered users have a global unsubscribe on their account, reversible from settings. If you are not registered, we record your email and opt-out so we do not email you; creating an account with that email later removes the opt-out. Transactional messages (verification, password reset, billing receipts) are not subject to unsubscribe.

7. Data retention and account cancellation

We retain account and subscription data while your account is active. When you cancel, we perform a soft delete: your account is deactivated and your email address is removed from the active account record, while we may retain limited non-identifying or legally required records (e.g., billing history). Business snapshot history is retained as an anonymous time-series not tied to your identity.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email privacy@chorus.guide.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls). No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

We operate in the United States. If you access Chorus from outside the U.S., you consent to U.S. processing.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notified by email.
